Description

Every Ammolite pendant is truly one of a kind, with its own combination of brilliant color, natural pattern, and shifting iridescence. Set in polished .925 sterling silver, our beautiful, gem-grade, fossilized Ammolite reveals a kaleidoscope of greens, blues, violets, golds, oranges, reds, and other tones as the light and viewing angle change. No two will ever display the same pattern or spectrum of color.

Ammolite is an extraordinary organic gemstone formed from the fossilized shells of ancient ammonites. Ours is sourced from the Bearpaw Formation in southern Alberta, Canada and is high quality, gem-grade material from the Cretaceous period, approximately 70 million years ago. Natural Ammolite's remarkable play of color changes dramatically as the pendant moves, with different hues becoming more prominent under different lighting. The photographs show examples from our collection and illustrate the beautiful natural variation found among these pieces.

In metaphysical traditions, Ammolite is associated with transformation, vitality, abundance, creativity, and renewal. Its many colors also connect it with the full chakra system, making it a meaningful stone for balance, personal growth, and embracing change.
