Frankincense has been heavily used by the Ancient Egyptians, Bablylonians, Sumerians, Greeks and Romans in rituals, temples, daily life and for medicinal purposes. Although it is now mainly used as an incense, it has been used in the past as a depilatory and for ulcers. The Kohl substance that ancient Egyptian women used to darken the area around the eyes with was made of charred frankincense, sometimes mixed with other resins and herbs.

The famous "Temple" incense used from antiquity is an even blend of frankincense and myrrh, which provides a stable, nurturing and protective scent for the opening of your Temple.

Comes in a 1/2 ounce bag. Burn in heat-safe burner on incense charcoal discs.
